The pipeline benchmark -- the most realistic of the three -- topped out at 4.1x when starting from Python dicts. 6.3x when Cython called yyjson and owned the bytes. If your hot path is dict[str, Any], the answer might be "stop creating dicts," not "change the language." And if your code is I/O bound, none of this matters at all.
